Prepper Checklist

There are a lot of videos on YouTube and a lot of information in books and other media about general preparedness in regards to emergency situations, natural disasters, and economic meltdown. Much of the information is useful. Some of it is impractical. However, all of the people providing information on members survival discussion vip forums, in general, are sincere in their beliefs and sincere in their desire to help other people get prepared.

However, there is one area that does not seem to be addressed very much or at all in survivalist recommendations: That is, what are people going to use as money to purchase items they don’t have or run out of during a time of emergency.

People either ignore the ramifications of an economic catastrophe, such as the fact that the dollar substantially loses its purchasing value, or they believe that they can barter one item for another, such as food for ammunition, or ammo for first aid supplies.

Our Prior Experience With Government Handled Emergencies

First, let me complement those who have thought ahead and put away several years of food as well as other survival supplies. You are the self-sufficient type of person who takes responsibility for your own life as well as your family’s. That it, compared to the victim mentality, which seems so prevalent today, where everyone expects the government to take care of them.

Those that expect the government to take care of them during times of crisis will be extremely disappointed with the quality of care provided by the government during a serious economic calamity. Not only that, but they are not in a position to argue with them as they have not provided for themselves. The closest thing we have seen to an economic collapse was the Great Depression of the 1930’s. That is, out of the realm of the thinking of today’s society since there are very few people still around that experienced those times.

The closest we have come to a substantial emergency situation is what happened in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. First of all, there were many people who died due to lack of preparation. Secondly, there was a great deal of looting. Third, the police came around neighborhoods and confiscated guns – guns that were legally owned and people were using to protect themselves from law breakers. Lastly, people who were relying on the government to take care of them were extremely disappointed with the quality of service provided by FEMA – the government agency in charge of such situations.

Confiscation

On March 16, 2014, President Obama issued The National Defense Resources Preparedness Executive Order, which allows the government to confiscate your property without due process under the direction of Janet Napolitano and the Department of Homeland Security.

Obama’s Executive Order allows the president to “take actions necessary to ensure the availability of adequate resources and production capability, including services and critical technology, for national defense requirements” in the event of a “potential threat to the security of the United States.”

This Executive Order follows in the footsteps of Bill Clinton’s Executive Order number 12919 which allows the government to steal your property – and also forces you to be a slave laborer – during a vaguely declared “national emergency.” The government has given itself the authority to seize all communication (even your CB radio), confiscate all food resources (including garden crops and equipment), take control of all transportation (including your family car), and compel you at gunpoint “under federal supervision” to work as a slave.

So much for putting away three years of food supplies, self-defense weapons, and boxes of silver eagle coins, as suggested by survivalist forums, when the government can come along and take it from you right under your nose under color of law.

Caching

A person working in Special Operations revealed to me that the government now has the means to take a view of your house, with equipment available to them today, that will show everyone and everything in that house, like an MRI shows body tissues.

There is no hiding anything in any tricky concealed place with this technology. Also they have the ability to view underground in your yard, so most reliable books on caching today recommend that you don’t cache in your own yard, but some obscure place like a dirt road in the country.

What’s A Person To Do?

Do you think the government will go through your desk drawer or your wallet full of credit cards during this type of search? Probably not. What if you could store $25,000 or more of gold in a single credit card? Do you think they would have the wherewithal to discover that when they are on a time schedule to search a neighborhood?

Also it would allow you to walk through customs or board airlines without notice in case you decided to leave the country. For FREE information on how to solve this problem, go to:
